The Italian Senate Committee on
European Union Policies on Tuesday rejected a proposed European
regulation recognising the rights of children of gay couples and
the adoption of a European certificate of filiation.
The resolution to throw out the proposal, presented by Senator
Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata of Premier Giorgia Meloni's
right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, passed with 11 votes
in favor and 7 against.
