(see related story on NRRP) Industry Minister Adolfo Urso said Friday that the government was considering negotiating a partial revision of its National Recovery and Recovery Plan (NRRP) with the European Commission.
Premier Giorgia Meloni has also mooted a revision of the PNNR on the grounds that the situation has changed drastically since the plan was drawn up because of the war in Ukraine.
"We are assessing whether to ask Brussels for a partial revision of the NRRP or of some of its targets in order to be able to immediately free up resources for businesses," Urso told the Abruzzo Economy Summit in Pescara via a video link.
"The conditions that led to the preparation and approval of the NRRP in 2021 have changed deeply in a radical way.
"There was the lockdown, the pandemic, but no one could imagine such an extraordinary event, and one that has had an even greater impact, as Russia's war in Ukraine with its consequences on the energy front".
