Premier Mario Draghi on Wednesday
signed the protocols with the regions involved for the Hydrogen
Valley project, one of the flagship elements of Italy's
post-COVID National Recovery and Resilience Plann (NRRP), which
is being funded with almost 200 billion euros of EU grants and
low-interest loans.
"The project of the regions of Piedmont, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia,
Umbria, Basilicata and Puglia aims to create Green hydrogen
production sites in disused industrial areas," Draghi said.
"It contributes to stimulating growth and creating employment.
"It takes us nearer to our energy and climate goals, which the
government is determined to keep and, what's more, pursue with
greater and greater conviction".
