Maneskin have come under heavy fire
on social media after lead singer Damiano David shouted "Free
Ukraine, fuck Putin" during the Rome rock band's performance at
the Coachella Festival in California.
Celebrity chef 'Rubio' led the onslaught.
"Given the visibility they have, it would be good if
@thisismaneskin wrote and sang a song for #Gaza, for #Palestone
and invited (people) to boycott #Israel on all fronts," Rubio
said via Twitter.
David responded with sarcasm, saying "'I'll have two sausages".
But there were lots of other users who were equally critical
with some accusing them of jumping on a band wagon.
One user asked followers to vote on how much of a clown David is
"from 1 to 10", while another simply replied "F**k Maneskin".
David's final response was to say "Welcome to Italy" in
exasperation.
