A temporary teacher at a Rome high
school has caused a stir by saying "let's pray for those who
send their daughters to school dressed like hookers" a week
after a teacher in another school in the Italian capital sparked
a rebellion by girls after asking one of them if she was on a
noted sex worker street.
The temp's colleagues at the Orazio high school said they
"distanced ourselves" from his comment which was "injurious of
the dignity" of the pupils involved.
Last week another teacher asked a girl showing her midriff "are
you on the Salaria", a street on Rome's outskirts famous for its
sex workers, prompting the students to come to school in mini
skirts and shorts.
