Journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli was
head-butted as she asked questions incognito at an anti-vax
protest against the government's Green Card health certificate
in Rome on Saturday, she said on Twitter Sunday.
Lucarelli, known for promoting progressive causes on talk shows
and as a judge on Dancing with the Stars, said "yesterday I
went to the Circus Maximus for the anti-vax demo with a hat,
dark glasses and a face mask.
"No one knew who I was.
"For the mere fact of asking 'why are you here today?' I was
attacked in every way possible and I will sue".
She posted a video in which a man shouted insults at her and
then delivered the head butt, which hit her camera.
Lucarelli added that the attack had been "made possible by the
total absence of police inside the Circo Massimo (they were only
posted outside)".
