Italian police on Tuesday made 12 arrests as they busted an 'Ndrangheta clan in the province of Cuneo in northern Italy.
The persons arrested were charged with drug trafficking and mafia association.
Police staged some 30 raids and searches. Calabria-based 'Ndrangheta is Italy's richest and most powerful mafia.
It has outstripped Sicily's Cosa Nostra thanks to its control of the European cocaine trade.
Italy's other main mafia is Naples' Camorra.
