The European Parliament on Tuesday voiced "profound concern' on the risks to IT security from 5G networks developed by Chinese firms and warned member States to make sure there is a "coordinated response from the EU".
The resolution was presented by the ALDE, S&D, EOPP and Green caucuses and approved by a show of hands by the plenary session.
The MEPs urged member States to "refrain from introducing disproportionate unilateral measures that would fragment the single market".
