Some 700 contracted delivery
personnel for Amazon in the Lombardy region went on strike on
Tuesday to protest working conditions.
The company said that the strike had not affected it much.
Trade unions supported the strike and the workers'
demonstration under the company offices in Piazza 25 Aprile in
Milan.
The company noted that it had asked suppliers to comply with
the Amazon Code of Conduct and to "ensure that drivers receive
fair compensation, that they are treated with respect, that all
regulations are followed and that they drive safely".
