The year that has just ended was
the hottest in Italy since 1800, according to data released on
Monday by the National Research Council's (CNR) ISAC institute
for atmospheric and climate science.
"The figures show that we are in the presence of significant
climate change and that the temperature increase in Italy is
stronger than the global average," said Michele Brunetti, the
head of the CNR-ISAC database.
