A Lucca judge who received
threats after a Facebook post by Interior Minister Matteo
Salvini criticising his acquittal of 26 young men accused of
attacking the League leader at a 2015 rally was given a police
escort on Thursday.
The Lucca public order and safety committee found that the
judge, Gerardo Boragine, had been "subjected to heavy insults
and grave threats".
In his post, Salvini said "evidently, attacking and throwing
rocks is not a crime for some people. Long live Italian justice.
I'm forging ahead".
