Over 3.3 million people in Italy
work off the books, in the underground economy, according to a
report released Wednesday by national cooperatives confederation
Confcooperative and research institute Censis. The study said
that the number of people in legal employment in Italy dropped
2.1% between 2012 and 2015, while number working off the books
rose 6.3% in the same period.
