An attack in Rome against a
journalist and operator from La7 investigative television show
Piazzapulita is very serious, the Italian national journalists'
union FNSI said Friday.
The attack, which took place on Thursday in Rome's Magliana
district against journalist Sara Giudice and an camera operator
investigating waste trafficking in the capital, "is an
aggression against the right of citizens to be informed", the
secretary general and president of FNSI, Raffaele Lorusso and
Giuseppe Giulietti, said in a statement.
The statement also said the attack targeted all the
journalists who work "to guarantee a free and complete
information".
