A forthcoming decree on civil
service reform may contain a section on employee performance
evaluation with expanded criteria to include parameters such as
behavior and ability to complete projects, ANSA sources said on
Tuesday.
Another key point in the decree, the new unification of
managerial roles in three areas at the state, regional and local
level (no longer specific to each ministerial or local
administration) would go into effect immediately, with new tasks
assigned through a selection process rather than automatically,
sources said.
The government is also looking at providing certain
assurances within the decree that would give a preferential
track to managers with seniority within the public
administration, sources said.
