Juventus started their bid for a
record sixth straight scudetto with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina at
the weekend.
Juve, who are aiming to beat the great Turin side of the
'40s and the Inter side of the 2010 treble, won thanks to
Gonzalo Higuain, a Serie A record signing from Napoli at 90
million euros, who last year beat Gunnar Nordahl's 66-year
record by scoring 36 goals for the Neapolitans.
Roma beat Udinese 4-0 in their first game without Miralem
Pjanic, who has also moved to Juve, while Napoli drew 2-2 at
Pescara, Milan beat Torino 3-0, Sassuolo won 1-0 at Palermo,
Chievo beat Inter 2-0, Lazio won 4-3 at Atalanta, Sampdoria won
1-0 at Empoli, Genoa beat Cagliari 3-1, and Bologna beat Crotone
1.0.
