Director Alessio Cremonini is set
to make a movie about Stefano Cucchi, a Rome draughtsman who
died in custody in 2009 a week after his arrest on minor drugs
charges.
The film, written by Cremonini and Lisa Nur Sultan and
produced by Cinemaundici, will be based on statements from the
judicial inquiry.
Cucchi family lawyer Fabio Anselmo and Stefano's sister
Ilaria Cucchi said they were happy about the project to bring
the controversial story to the big screen.
