Italy's annual inflation rate
edged up to 0.3% in October, an increase of 0.1 of a percentage
point compared to September, Istat said on Friday. The national
statistics agency added that its consumer-price index was 0.2%
higher in October than in September, according to provisional
data. "The slight speed up of the inflation was mainly due to
the further increase of prices of unprocessed food (+4.2%, from
+3,3% in September 2015) and of services related to recreation,
including repair and personal care (+1.5%, from +1.1% in the
previous month)," Istat said.
