Soccer fans were watching closely
Monday amid news that AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has
signed the preliminary papers to sell a minority stake of 48% in
the club to Bee Taechaubol.
Fininvest, the Berlusconi family holding company, announced
Saturday that a pre-sale deal had been signed with the Thai
businessman.
It is expected the sale will be completed by the end of
September, Fininvest said.
The value of the deal is about 500 million euros, the
company added.
Berlusconi, a former Italian premier, will remain president
of AC Milan and Taechaubol becomes vice president, according to
the preliminary sale pact.
