Sicily's Arab-Norman architecture
will be awarded UNESCO world heritage status at a meeting in
Bonn on July 4, former UNESCO ambassador Raymond Bondin of Malta
said at the Expo World Fair Wednesday.
Bondin said he was sure Palermo's landmarks and the
cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale would get the laurel because
"they are an icon the world over".
