Some 400 migrants rescued by a
German naval ship arrived in a Sicilian port Friday morning.
The news came as the German government said that it would
continue to keep two of its Navy vessels helping with rescue
work in the Mediterranean.
The two ships were initially expected to work for one month
after their arrival May 5 but a defense ministry spokesman in
Berlin said the mission will be "prolonged".
