(ANSA) Follonica (Grosseto), April 15 - Italian
paramilitary Carabinieri police arrested two Roma women
Wednesday on charges of forcing their under-age daughters to
follow them into prostitution, police sources said.
The Florence public prosecutor's office launched a probe
into the women aged 39 and 36 after a police patrol surprised
the underage daughter of one of the two having sex with a
54-year-old man in a car in an isolated area normally frequented
by sex workers, said the sources.
The women lived with their daughters in a caravan at a
travellers' camp in Follonica in the Tuscan province of
Grosseto.
Investigators discovered that the two adults offered sex
for sale outside supermarkets and commercial centres in
Follonica and then induced their daughters and a third Rom minor
into prostitution.
