A 'restaurant with a view' headed
by Michelin-starred chef Stefano Cevenini is to open on the
terrace of the central Triennale design museum and events venue
in Milan in view of Expo 2015, organisers said Tuesday.
The restaurant overlooking Parco Sempione towards the
Sforzesco Castle and the new city skyline will seat 50 inside
and a further 70 outside in summer.
Diners will also be able to enjoy the exhibition Arts and
Foods, open at the Triennale from 10 am to 11 pm for the
duration of the Universal Exposition on the theme Feeding the
planet, energy for life.
Work to renovate the roof and build the restaurant cost 1.5
million euros, financed with public and private funds.
"I hope whoever comes here finds hospitality, candour and
Italian cuisine," said Cevenini who has earned one Michelin star
for his restaurant 'Due colombe al borgo antico' in
Franciacorta, Lombardy.
'Hostaria with a view' is scheduled to open on April 13,
just over two weeks before the official opening of Expo on May
1.
