(ANSA) - Rome, November 26 - The Italian doctor who
contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone is able to walk on his own and
seems "strong and independent," Giuseppe Ippolito of Rome's
Spallanzani Institute said Wednesday. The patient is responding
well to experimental treatment and poses no threat to the health
of the community, the medical centre said. Ippolito said staff
are now "evaluating the best therapeutic strategies" for the
doctor, who was flown to Rome Tuesday night. He is said to now
be in stable condition.
