Argentina phenom Paulo Dybala has
extended his contract with Juventus until 2022, the Turin giants
announced Thursday.
The 23-year-old striker, nicknamed 'La Joya' (The Jewel),
joined Juve from Palermo in 2015 and has scored 39 goals in 82
appearances for the Bianconeri, including a stunning brace in
Tuesday's 3-0 Champions League quarter-final first leg tie
against Barcelona in Turin.
He has six Argentina caps.
The extension means Palermo will get a bonus of eight million
euros for the performance of Dybala, who had been expected to
sign a new contract for the last two months,
Dybala helped Juve to its second straight double last year.
He won the Italian Super Cup in 2015, scoring in the final
against Lazio.
Juve are gunning for a record sixth straight scudetto and
their first treble.
A Champions League win would be the third time they have
lifted Europe's top trophy.
They lost to Barcelona in the 2015 final.
