Flanker Simone Favaro will take
over as Italy captain in Saturday's test against Tonga in Padua
after regular skipper Sergio Parisse was suspended.
Parisse, who picked up his 121st cap in the Azzurri's
historic 20-18 win over South Africa last weekend, was suspended
for three weeks on Wednesday for an incident in a match for his
club Stade Francais.
Andries Van Schalkwyk, who played at lock and scored Italy's
first try against the Springboks, takes over for Parisse at
number eight against Tonga.
Van Schalkwyk had been left out of the starting XV due to a
knock he suffered against South Africa but he has recovered.
Favaro was among Italy's best performers against South
Africa and put in a series of big tackles.
