Fully 11.9% of Italians, or 7.2
million people, live in households showing symptoms of economic
distress, ISTAT director Roberto Monducci told a parliamentary
hearing on the government's DEF economic blueprint Wednesday.
As for the labour market, Monducci highlighted a "still
unfavourable situation for the 25-34 year bracket" for whom
seeking employment has become more and more difficult. He added
that "a leap is needed in the economy to meet the government's
growth targets for 2017".
