Italy's biggest trade union,
the leftwing CGIL, on Friday blasted the government's draft 2017
budget, saying it does not give enough money to the civil
service and there is a risk of corrective measures in the
spring. "The budget will not lead to a turnaround in the
country's economic conditions because it lacks a general idea,"
the CGIL's Danilo Barbi told the Lower House and Senate's budget
committees. "There are cuts but there isn't a real boost for
investments... there is quite a clear risk of a budget
adjustment in the spring".
