Sackings from steady jobs rose
by 28% in the first eight months of the year compared to the
same period last year, pensions and social security agency INPS
said Tuesday.
INPS said the rise was due to Premier Matteo Renzi's
landmark Jobs Act labour-market reform.
In particular, it said, firings for disciplinary reasons
rose more than any others, but those for just cause and
justified reasons were also up.
