The confidence ratings of Premier Matteo Renzi and of his coalition government fell by one point to 31% and 29% respectively, according a poll released Friday by the Ixè institute for State broadcaster Rai.
President Sergio Mattarella has the highest confidence rating of Italy's politicians, with approval of 53%.
Luigi Di Maio, a senior lawmaker for the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S), has a rating of 23%, while M5S leader Beppe Grillo's is 22%.
Centre-right politician Stefano Parisi has a rating of 20% while Matteo Salvini, the firebrand leader of the right-wing Northern League, comes in at 18%.
