Italian Premier Matteo
Renzi told the Council on Foreign Relations Tuesday that two
years ago "I promised reforms, and now they have become a
reality".
Among other things, he said the banking system had been
changed so that politicians' votes no longer decided things.
Italy "must keep changing in order to change the EU," said
the premier, who has warned that austerity hasn't worked and
called for new flexibility-fuelled growth policies.
As for Brexit, Renzi said there was "no going back" after
the British people had spoken, and now a "ne page" in EUB
history had to be written.
