Renzi admitted Tuesday that Italy's economic growth was not as
strong as his government had hoped, after Economy Minister Pier
Carlo Padoan announced its GDP forecasts will be revised down.
"I recall how negative the (GDP) data was a few years ago: -2.3%
in 2012, -1.9% in 2013. Now it's positive again," Renzi said as
he laid the first stone for Siemens new plant in Milan. "But we
are still under what we expected and that's why I say we can do
more".
