Premier Matteo Renzi on Thursday
hailed an anti-poverty bill that has just been passed from the
House to the Senate as "the first organic measure against
poverty in Italian postwar history." He said on Facebook that it
would earmark 1.6 billion euros in two years. The bill includes
an 'inclusion income' for the worst-off.
