Justice Minister Andrea Orlando
said Wednesday that Italy's TIAP IT system for criminal trial
documents was safe, after reports that suspects in a corruption
probe that saw 24 people arrested this week wanted to get their
hands on a contract related to it.
Prosecution sources said Wednesday that the justice
ministry has not issued any contract competitions related to the
TIAP.
"The TIAP is secure. It's tightly controlled by the
ministry and the fact that it's the property of the ministry is
not a coincidence, but a guarantee of how the information is
managed," Orlando said.
