The Bank of Italy said Wednesday
that Italy's public debt hit a new high of 2.230845 trillion
euros in April, up from 2.2287 trillion in March.
The central bank said Italy's tax revenues dropped to
28.9 billion euros in April, down from 29.5 billion in the same
month in 2015.
It said tax revenues in the first four months of 2016
amounted to 118.5 billion euros, up by 3.3 billion (2.9%) on the
same period last year.
