Funds from the EU 2014
budget have almost completely dried up and, with three months
still to go before the end of the year, Erasmus student grants,
funding for small and medium-sized firms and cohesion funds are
at risk, the EU's budget commissioner Jacek Dominik said on
Wednesday.
He warned that this time, the shortfalls are not "business
as usual".
The commissioner added that cuts worth 2.1 billion euros in
the 2015 budget sought by member States made the situation
worse.
