Ennio Morricone said Monday he
didn't expect to get a Golden Globe, his third, for the score to
Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight on Sunday.
"I'm happy but I didn't expect it, one never expects these
things," the veteran composer told Sky TG24.
Asked about Tarantino's comparing him to Mozart, Beethoven
and Schubert, he said: "Tarantino is going over the top, you
need a historical judgment.
"His was an immediate judgment, from a kind person who
wanted to give me this praise, but we'll have to wait two
centuries to say what he said."
