Almost 10 million Italians are set
to travel this Easter, 2.3% up on last year, hotel group
Federalberghi said Thursday.
Some 93% will stay in Italy and the remaining 7% will opt for
a foreign destination, it said.
The turnover from Easter travel is up 3.6% at 3.34 billion
euros.
The preferred Italian destinations are artistic places
(29.1%), the seaside (28.8%), the mountains (21.4%) and lakes
(4.5%).
For those travelling abroad, the major European capitals will
account for 69.5% of trips, followed by seaside resorts and
cruises at 13.8%.
