Wheeler of 5-Star Movement (M5S) has received about 50
applications in response to the job announcement he posted on
his Facebook page to fill the cabinet post of assessor of public
works and urban planning.
The posting called for a qualified surveyor or a candidate
with a degree in engineering or architecture.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the city plan,
the shoreline usage plan, the sustainable mobility plan and the
integrated cross-border river plan.
Wheeler, an Arkansas native, was elected in June 2015.
