A sea captain died Monday after
his fishing boat sank in adverse weather off the Puglia port
city of Trani.
Giovanni Tedeschi, 62, and his 20-year-old son put out to
sea in spite of an injunction from local port authorities not to
leave the dock.
Fellow fishermen raised the alarm, but rescue workers
arrived too late to save the father. The son is in stable
condition, sources said.
