Italian adolescents have good
general Internet navigation skills but get easily lost when they
are asked to perform specific or in-depth research, the
Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)
said Monday.
The same students use computers more regularly during home
study than at school, according to the OECD's 2015 Students,
Computers and Learning report based on a study conducted among
15-year-olds across member states in 2012.
Italian students obtained an average of 504 points in
international digital reading tests, slightly above the OECD
average of 497.
Just over 30% showed a strong or top performance, the
report added.
