Italy had 11.9 million
private-sector payrolled workers in 2015, 1.4% up on 2014,
pensions and social security agency INPS said Monday.
As many as 85.69% of these were on long-term contracts, it
said, while the percentage on full-time contracts was 73.2%,
down from 74.1% in 2014.
More than half private-sector workers are blue collar while
more than 37% are white-collar, apprentices and middle managers
3.1% and top managers 0.8%.
