The Catholic Church gets some 80%
of the 0.08% donation of IRPEF personal income tax made under
Italian law, the Treasury said Monday in analysing distribution
of funds made this year based on 2012 takings. Italian tax
payers thus chose to give some one billion euros to the Church.
The Italian State got around 15%, totalling 197 million euros,
while 3% went to the Waldensian Evangelical Church.
