The Milan stock exchange made
big gains in early trading on Friday, as the European markets
benefited from the perception that the leave side in Britain's
European Union referendum may have lost some impetus. The FTSE
Mib index was up by 2% after less then an hour of trading.
Madrid was also up 2%, while London and Frankfurt gained 1%.
The spread between the 10-year BTP State bond and the
German bund dropped to 151.5 basis points with a yield of 1.51%
after closing at 156 points on Thursday.
