The Milan bourse plunged 5.63%
Thursday amid fresh tensions on banking stocks with the
bellwether FTSE-Mib index sinking to 15,733 points.
The fresh dive came after a rally Wednesday from two
punishing sessions earlier in the week.
Among the worst hit stocks were UBI Banca (-12.11%), MPS
(-9.88%) and Saipem down 12.02% on the last day for joining its
3.5-billion-euro rights issue.
