The State Oil Fund of the
Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) on Friday reached a deal to buy
an historic palazzo in the centre of Milan that was until 2011
the home of the Milan chamber of commerce. SOFAZ is buying
Palazzo Turati for 97 million euros in its first real-estate
purchase in Italy, according to a statement on its website.
The property, recently used as a conference centre, has been
sold by Tecnoholding, a finance company controlled by the
chamber of commerce.
