(ANSA-XINHUA) - NANCHINO, DEC 17 - A new China-Europe freight
train route has been launched, linking the city of Xuzhou in
east China's Jiangsu Province with Europe's largest inland port,
the Port of Duisburg in Germany. The first freight train on this
route left Xuzhou on Monday, carrying 46 twenty-foot equivalent
units (TEUs) of goods worth more than 11 million yuan (about

appliances. The train will leave China via the China-Mongolia
border port of Erenhot and is scheduled to reach its final
destination in approximately 23 days on the 13,000-km-long
route. Since the beginning of this year, the number of
China-Europe freight trains has exceeded 10,000, according to
data from the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (ANSA-XINHUA).
