(ANSA) - ROME - Volkswagen will invest more than 10bn euros
by 2025 with several Chinese partners to develop and launch a
series of electric cars. Production will begin in the first half
of next year, sales in the second half of 2018. China's
Volkswagen Manager Jochem Heizmann said in Guangzhou, pointing
out that production will be launched through a partnership with
Jianghuai Automobile Group. Volkswagen's shares - the car
manufacturer already announced in September a 20bn euro plan to
build electric versions of all the 300 models of the 12 brands
that belong to the group - have risen by 1.2%. in China,
Volkswagen follows Ford's investment, under which car
manufacturers will be required to produce a certain amount of
low emission vehicles. (ANSA).
