(ANSA) - UDINE, OCT. 05 - ''The Carpathian region, including
Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, and totalling
more than 150 million inhabitants, is the largest in Europe and
still is not the subject of any strategy or intervention
European'', according to Dawid Lasek, former State Secretary and
Minister of Tourism and Polish Sports, and current
representative of the Carpathian Euroregion, who attended today
in Udine the 13th Forum of the Aquileian Euroregion, promoted by
the Udine-based Mitteleuropa Association.
''It is a top priority for us to create a common brand for
economic and social development'', Lasek said describing the
plan carried out with the support of the Swiss Confederation.
The main idea is to create an ''innovative'' brand to represent
the ''cultural and natural potential of this area'', a ''new
