(ANSA) - UDINE, FEB 27 - ''Discussing shared events means adding
value both to Esof Trieste2020 and Rjieka Epk2020. Not only in
terms of individual events, which will attract many visitors in
2020, but also in terms of collaboration between the two cities,
building a solid network of relations for the future'',
according to the President of the Study Centre for European
Dialogue Stefan Cok. The president has promoted a meeting, as
part of a series of initiatives in Trieste and the Balkans, in
order to compare the two major international events that will be
hosted in 2020 along the Upper Adriatic coastline. After a
conference held this morning in the Tessitori hall of the FVG
Regional Council, attended by the President of the Trieste
International Foundation Stefano Fantoni, the deans of the
University of Trieste and Fiume Maurizio Fermeglia and Snjezana
Prijic Samarzija, with the deputy dean Alen Ruzic, and the
Director of the Centre for Advanced Studies Sanja Bojanic, the
Croatian delegation visited in the afternoon the Electrical
Substation of the Old Port which will be the ''headquarters'' of
Esof2020. During the meetings ''issues and elements emerged,
entailing collaboration, such as the dissemination of science
among citizens and the connection between the natural sciences
and humanities, the diplomacy of science in relations with
institutions and society''. The two delegations made an
