Austria lifts lockdown for the unvaccinated, but bans remain

They cannot enter bars, stores, and restaurants

(ANSA) - BOLZANO, JAN 31 - In Austria, the lockdown for the unvaccinated ends today, but they remain banned from taking part in many activities. Those who are not 'immunized cannot enter stores, bars, restaurants, and public events. With the end of the lockdown, they can leave home without a precise need and meet friends. In the meantime, an easing of the anti-Covid measures is likely to begin on February 5. The curfew for venues will slip from 10 p.m. to midnight, and the government will raise from 25 to 50 the cap on people allowed at events. On February 19, the Super green pass requirement, which in Austria is called 2-G, will be lifted for shops, bars, and restaurants.
